Collaborative Efforts for Strategic Success
A number of service areas work collaboratively to deliver our digital transformation strategic ambitions. By fostering strong partnerships across departments, we integrate diverse expertise, share resources, and align our goals to drive cohesive and impactful digital initiatives. This collaborative approach ensures that our strategies are holistic, inclusive, and effectively meet the evolving needs of our community.

By integrating innovative technologies with personalised support, we enhance learning, and research, fostering a future-ready university community.
Digital Capabilities (Staff)
The Digital Capabilities team in OD&PL support colleagues and the organisation to assess and enhance their digital capabilities and practice through bespoke provision, cohort-based programmes, resources, communities of practice and reward and recognition opportunities. We use the digital capabilities framework created by Jisc to support you in developing your digital skills.
Transformation Office
The Transformation Office (TO) supports all our colleagues within the University to scope, plan and deliver change that is in line with University’s strategy and our values. Within the TO, we have a broad view of all activities that are happening across the university. This means we can help colleagues to understand any links and overlap between their work and other areas of work. Our work allows colleagues to join together on related pieces of work, save time, avoid duplication and share ideas. This allows all of us within the University to deliver cost effective, equitable and sustainable change.
Digital Education Service
Digital education at Leeds covers all aspects of technology-enhanced learning in hybrid and fully-online settings. This means that however you learn, students and staff at Leeds benefit from the latest digital technologies and pedagogical expertise. To do this, we work closely with academic teams, students and commercial partners to design effective learning experiences using the best possible EdTech tools and teaching methodologies. Our expertise in learning design and learning technologies enables us to create transformative, accessible and inclusive online learning experiences, from short courses and microcredentials to fully online degree programmes.

We offer access to High-Performance Computing (HPC) resources, extensive research data storage solutions, and specialised technical and research software engineering support at the faculty level. This comprehensive suite of services empowers researchers to tackle complex challenges, accelerate discovery, and drive innovation across diverse disciplines.

Data Service
Data has an important role to play in helping us deliver our strategy. It powers research and facilitates innovation. Our Data Strategy describes how we plan to address existing cultural, behavioural and structural barriers within the University, and how we will create a system-wide model that is underpinned by accurate data.
